A.D.S. (Architectural Drafting Service, Inc.) president and founder Ron Horist established Architectural Drafting Service, Inc. in 1984.  At that time, there was a void in the glass and glazing industry concerning high quality shop drawing production and dependable engineering.  He began with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail backed with his professional knowledge of construction.  Those values of dependability and skilled expertise continue in our offices today.

Architectural Drafting Service, Inc. started out using pencils, vellum, and drafting tables to produce drawings.  Today we are using AutoCAD along with various other state of the art software and hardware resources to produce 2D and 3D construction documents, architectural renderings, and design drawings.  By utilizing these resources the skilled and talented staff at A.D.S. are able to accommodate all drafting and engineering requests.

Early shop drawings in the glazing industry did not include adequate detail of the building conditions.  Many times, only a line would represent the wall construction.  A.D.S. has demonstrated that increasing information in the construction documents will express the design goals accurately.  With "a picture is worth a thousand words" attitude, our drawings are able to expose potential problem areas or application oversights.

Building budgets are always a concern and A.D.S. recognizes that it is necessary to watch costs.  Architectural Drafting Service, Inc. continually strives to keep our clients budgets in mind with value engineering and cost effective documents.
